Fund's Strategy View
The iShares Semiconductor ETF aims to track the performance of Semiconductor companies in the US. It provides investors with exposure to a diversified portfolio of semiconductor stocks - design, munufacturing and distribution, allowing them to capitalize on the growth potential of this sector. The fund tracks an index (ICE Semiconductor Index) that is free-float market-cap weighted with single-stock caps, leading to meaningful exposure to dominant industry leaders while preventing extreme concentration. Returns will largely track industry profit pools and capex cycles.
