How does Nomination work on the kristal platform

In India, many investors are used to a nomination-based process across financial products. Global platforms often handle this differently. Instead of maintaining a separate nominee structure at the platform level, they typically rely on standing instructions that define what should happen in the event of an investor’s demise. Kristal follows this approach through a standing instruction authorising liquidation of the investor’s holdings and transfer of the proceeds to the registered bank account, once the required proof of demise is provided by the legal heir(s) In practical terms, this means that upon notification and receipt of the death certificate, Kristal is authorised to liquidate the assets held on the platform and remit the proceeds to the investor’s registered bank account, after any pending fees are settled While this differs in form from the nomination process familiar in India, it is still a defined and documented transmission mechanism. Once the funds are credited to the bank account, the subsequent transmission would generally follow the banking and succession framework applicable to that account.
