IME Strategy Rating
Large & Mid Cap Focussed: This portfolio will invest predominantly in large and mid-cap companies. The focus will be on quality management and upcoming businesses of high-growth companies that are leaders in their sectors or are positioned to achieve the same with fairly well-researched fundamentals.
PMS Scheme Ratings are driven by IME’s Proprietary Scheme Rating Methodology, which takes into account our ratings of the Scheme’s investment strategy, its maturity, the investment team, and our separate rating on the AMC that runs this particular scheme. SMC Global ‘Growth Strategy’ is a multi-cap strategy. The portfolio invests in predominantly large and mid-cap companies. The focus is on quality management, upcoming businesses of high growth companies who are leaders in their sectors or are positioned to achieve the same.

Not a Recommended AMC: While SMC Global has established its presence in its broking & wealth management businesses, its PMS business has not yet proven its standalone credentials. The 1-star rating of the AMC is primarily driven by the AMC still being sub-scale. Since the firm is still sub-scale, we have not done additional evaluations with regards the AMC Pedigree, Investment Philosophy, Team & Performance.
