Highly Diversified Muticap Strategy: India Super 50 seeks to achieve steady, low-volatility returns by investing across sectors. A curated list of the best stocks (usually around 50) in the Indian market at any given point in time, based on First Global’s proprietary Investment Criteria. This approach is best suited for data scientist which the founding team are not. We also prefer going with more established international investment firms (easily accessible via MF FOF structures), as compared to First Global.’
IME Strategy Rating
Not a recommended AMC: While Devina Mehra is a seasoned professional (Shankar Sharma is no longer associated with First Global), the AMC is yet to establish its track record across market conditions with their differentiated strategy under the PMS licence. First Global was also linked to the Ketan Parekh scam and subsequently a SEBI ban for fictitious trading. We are currently cautious about recommending First Global.
PMS Scheme Ratings are driven by IME’s Proprietary Scheme Rating Methodology, which takes into account our ratings of the Scheme’s investment strategy, its maturity, the investment team, and our separate rating on the AMC that runs this particular scheme. Investment Philosophy
Emkay Emerging Star aims to generate alpha through multi-pronged investment strategies and leverage proprietary models like E-Qual Model to deliver consistent returns.
The fund follows the 3 pronged investment process 1) Earnings Growth 2) E-Qual Framework 3) Purchase Price Discipline.
E-Qual is first of its kind that calibrates the “Governance” aspect of a company. Each company is evaluated on the basis of the following parameters:
- Management Integrity: 40% weight
- Wealth Distribution: 15% weight
- Investor Communication: 7.50%
- Management Capability: 30%
- Liquidity: 7.50%
